American Properties Team currently employs eight (8) full-time Property Managers, five (5) Senior Property Managers,
and four (4) full-time Condominium Coordinators. Additionally, Deborah Jones PCAM® provides supervisory support for the Managers.
Deborah is assisted by David Barrett PCAM® as vice president. Senior Property Managers have an average portfolio of approximately
five (5) associations. This is one of the lowest manager-to-portfolio ratios in the industry.
Financial services and support are provided by team of staff accountants directed by the APT association division controller,
Kathryn DuBose.
In addition, APT employs a talented and highly skilled maintenance staff which includes carpenters, painters, a licensed
plumber, and licensed electrician. Project supervisory services are available through our on-staff licensed construction supervisor and
our facilities management personnel. The company's in-house skills are complemented by a network of consultants and contractors which has
been developed over a period of two decades.
The following is a highlight of qualifications of the key personnel involved in the corporate office of the community
association division.
Deborah A. Jones PCAM®, CMCA® - President: Deborah has been active in property management since 1980.
Prior to joining APT, she was a vice president and director of marketing and business development at another large condominium management
company. In addition, she was the principal of her own property management firm specializing in community associations in the metropolitan Boston area.
Deborah has extensive experience as a facilitator and has worked successfully with many associations and boards during transition periods and
management plan development.
Deborah was awarded her PCAM® in 1993 by the Community Associations Institute. She is a member of the CAI Managers' Committee,
the Media Relations Committee, and the CA Day Expo Committee each of which she has previously chaired. She has written articles for both CondoMedia
and CondoManagement magazines, and has instructed at the ABC's course and other CAI seminars. Deborah serves on the Executive Board of the New England
Chapter of CAI, as Treasurer in 1999 and as President in 2001.
David Barrett PCAM®, CMCA®, ARM® - Vice President & Director of Project Management: In addition to his property
management and supervisory responsibilities, David directs the project management division, as well as provides construction and facilities support
for other managers. With over 15 years experience in property management, facilities management, and related construction trades, David holds various
licenses in Oil Burners, Refrigeration, and Type 1 & 2 Refrigerant Recovery, as well as his license as a Certified Pool Operator (CPO).
David was awarded his PCAM® in 2000 by the Community Associations Institute and writes extensively for both CondoMedia
and CondoManagement magazines. David is also a Massachusetts Notary Public.
Kathryn DuBose: Community Association Controller Kathy is directly responsible for managing all financial services provided
to our clients including: providing monthly financial reports and providing cash management, banking arrangements, year-end audits and tax engagements with
outside firms. Kathy reviews all monthly financial statements as part of our quality control process.
