Managed by APT since the rehabilitation in 1979, the Sun Building contains 46 units of senior citizen housing assisted through the Federal Section 8 Program. APT’s proactive approach to management and its ability to work closely with local officials made it possible for the Sun Building to be the first development in the city to establish an area within the lobby for police personnel to complete paperwork at the end of their shifts. In 1999, the Management Team received a Special Recognition Award from HUD Washington for being one of the Top 1000 Properties in the country . Applicants must meet income eligibility requirements.
